How MOCVIEW uses AI
Last updated: 24 October 2026
We're not anti-AI. We're pro-human. MOCVIEW uses AI to help people become the best version of themselves, and to be seen for who they really are. AI helps you prepare, makes MOCVIEW open to more people, and protects what's yours. What it doesn't do is take your place.
AI can speak with you, and about you, but never for you.
In hiring, we believe AI is at its best when it describes, and people are at their best when they decide.
This page lists every way MOCVIEW uses AI. It changes before any use does.
What AI does for you
Helps you grow
- Practice questions. Coming. AI writes fresh practice questions about your field and about what's happening in the world, from the field, role and experience level in your profile, so you can prepare for the conversations that matter. They are labelled as written by AI.
- Resume suggestions. Later. If MOCVIEW offers help with a resume or a short bio, it will be a suggestion: you accept it or change it, and you send it yourself. It is labelled.
- Seeing your progress. Coming. AI can bring together the feedback people give you, across reviews and interviews, so you can see where you're growing. It works on what people said about your recordings, never on the recordings themselves.
Opens MOCVIEW to more people
- Captions. Every recording has captions, so people who are deaf or hard of hearing, or watching without sound, can follow every word. Captions are made by machine transcription for that purpose only: they are shown as captions and never analyzed, scored or searched. Anyone watching can hide them.
- A natural voice for questions. Coming. Practice questions will be read aloud in a natural voice. Today your phone's own voice reads them.
- Speaking instead of typing. When you review someone's recording, you can say your comment instead of typing it.
Protects your privacy
- On your phone, where it can be. When you speak a comment, your phone turns your speech into text on the phone. The sound is never sent to us or kept. A QR code is read on your phone too.
- Your recordings and documents are not sent to any AI service, and we don't use your recordings, documents or feedback to train AI.
Our promises
AI is a tool for people, so people stay in charge of the things that are about people:
- In the MOCVIEW app AI works on what people give it, such as feedback and the patterns across it, not on you.
- In the MOCVIEW app AI never analyzes you: not your face, your voice, your tone or the words in your recordings. Captions are the one exception, and they are text on the screen, nothing more.
- In the MOCVIEW app AI never ranks candidates. People do. Where several people have ranked the same candidates, MOCVIEW will be able to combine their rankings, and will say that it has.
- In the MOCVIEW app AI never judges you. It doesn't score or critique a recording, write your answers or your Virtual PROXIEE (VPx), or decide who is invited, interviewed or hired.
The MOCVIEW app includes MOCVIEW in your web browser.
Who provides it
- Speaking your comment: Apple speech recognition, on your iPhone only. In use.
- Scanning a QR code: Google ML Kit, on your phone only. In use.
- Practice questions: Anthropic (Claude), which receives your profile's field, role and experience level. Coming.
- A natural voice for questions: Amazon Polly, which receives the question's text only. Coming.
- Captions: Amazon Transcribe (Amazon Web Services), which receives speech audio only to make captions. We have opted out of Amazon using it to improve its services.
When the MOCVIEW app arrives on Android, this list will name what runs on Android phones.
